There are always two people in every picture: the photographer and the viewer.

Formed in 2007 and located in the SF Bay Area of Northern California. I have photographed over 3,200 homes, 45 plus events and hundreds of hotels, cafes, stores, offices all with well known vivid image quality, speed and service.

Approach

I look at each property for its' character and what makes them unique. Then I find the drama in each scene. Every photo is a story... a collection of highlights and details uniquely describing each home, building or event.

I provide real estate, architectural, website photo tours and other services such as: twilight, aerial/elevated, 4k videos, time lapse, panoramas and event photography.

Architectural and Real Estate photography is more than simply choosing a scene and clicking the shutter; it's more than just documenting a property. It is the blend of skills and talent, equipment and lighting, to produce a dramatic image that captures our attention. The creation of an image starts before the shutter release and ends only after extensive post production work. Each location and each scene is different, requiring all of the past experience and photographic tools to create a beautiful photograph.

A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed.

A tenet of architectural photography is the use of perspective control, with an emphasis on vertical lines that are non-converging (parallel). This is achieved by positioning the focal plane of the camera at so that it is perpendicular to the ground, regardless of the elevation of the camera eye. This result can be achieved by the use of tilt/shift lenses and post-processing.
It is best to correct perspective at the time of the photo capture to minimize other distortions. This is why I use 17mm and 24mm tilt-shift lens at every project shoot.

Most photo projects include both exterior and interior images with an increasing demand for aerial shoots and video as well. You usually are delivered 25-40 fully edited images, both in web ready resolution and high resolution. I use the same tilt-shift lens, full frame cameras and lighting as with high end architectural projects.
All videos are shot using Hollywood movie equipment such as jibs and gimbal stabilizers. Aerials can be used for photos, 4k/60/10bit video and time lapse clips.

Photography is more than a medium for factual communication of ideas. It is a creative art.

Commercial photos are employed to create compelling visual images that speak to the target audience of that product, cafe or store. The images produced and style of production align very closely to both the overall branding strategy that exists for that product or service and play to the target demographic of that the company.
Most important is understanding how things sell, and articulate those qualities that drive people to purchase or visit your product or store.

There is nothing worse than a sharp image of a fuzzy concept.

I shoot all photos in RAW format with a high res full-frame camera, two wide angle 17mm/24mm tilt-shift lens and a 17-28mm f2.8 low light lens.
Most people use the jpg camera output which is processed and compressed in the camera. The RAW format files contain all the information from the sensor allowing extended dynamic range. The result is similar to HDR photography, but without the color distortions and halos.
